Airbrush Tanning FAQ

Q. WILL IT STAIN MY CLOTHING OR OTHER ITEMS?
No!  Since organic color pigment is not a stain or a dye, it will not permanently stain and will wash out of any synthetic material. The color could be removed more easily than make-up on collars. No pre-laundering treatments were required.

Q. HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Your tan will last between 7 and 10 days, depending on how you care for your skin. The day after you get your tan, we recommend moisturizing daily to extend the life of your tan.

Q. DOES IT WASH OFF?
NO! Remember that the organic color is for application. The unique Dihydroxy (DHA) is what creates your tan. Just like a tan from the sun, the tan from our product will not wash off because of its new breakthrough formulation!  Note: DHA is not permanent, so it will fade just as any suntan does, which is why a weekly application is recommended to maintain your tan.

Q. DOES YOUR PRODUCT HAVE ANY SUNSCREEN OR SPF?
No

Q. WHAT ABOUT SWIMMING WITH THE PRODUCT?
Again, we emphasize that our product fades but does not wash off. Do not swim immediately after application of the product; this would result in waste.

Q. ARE THERE ANY HARMFUL EFFECTS OF THIS PRODUCT?
Tanning with a dihydroxy formulation is much safer than tanning for prolonged hours in the sun.  We are using organically based product to ensure a safe tan and to promote healthy skin. Our product doesn't require animal testing because our product contains no harmful ingredients that would have required extensive animal testing.

Q. CAN I TAN MY FACE?
YES! Our formula was designed for the entire body, including the face.  Often separate tanning products are sold for the face simply as a marketing strategy.  Our product is a delicate blend of quality ingredients. 

Q. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DRY?
Because the level of moisture in each skin type varies, drying time will also vary slightly.  In general, we have found that 20 minutes is sufficient time for the product to dry.  Many choose to apply the product several hours before going to bed to ensure that the product has dried completely.

Q. Will my skin develop adverse reaction such as rash, breakouts, or hives?
A. No!  It is important to know that the solution we are using has safe, high-quality, and raw materials to deliver the most natural sunless tan.

Q. Do I need to exfoliate before my tanning appointment?
Yes. You can exfoliate twice,  one day before and the same day of your
appointment. Rub yourself gently in a circular motion while showering.

Q. Can I have my manicure and pedicure appointment after my spray tan? 
No.  Get your manicure and pedicure first, then come to the tanning appointment.

Q. Will the spray tan damage my manicure and pedicure polish?
Absolutely Not.

Q. Can I take hot showers or baths after my sunless tan?
No!  Semi-warm is best.  No long showers or baths either!

Q. Can I shave or wax my legs before tanning?
Yes.

Q. Can I use moisturizer or deodorant before tanning?
No. But, you need to moisturize your airbrush tan (after the first shower) every day, twice
a day if you have dry skin.

Q. What should I wear in my tanning appointment?
Some people prefer to wear old swimming suit, dark colored undergarments to be
sprayed in, or nothing at all during tanning. After tanning, you should wear loose fitting 
dark clothing, (no jeans), and loose flip flop.
